Just what is the DMS?

The Delaware Mobile Surf-Fishermen, Inc. (The DMS) is more than a fishing Club. It is an Organization that is interested in the preservation of our beaches, our way of life and our marine resources. The goal of the DMS is to preserve our beaches and marine life for the coming generations; so, that our children and our children’s children may enjoy what we enjoy. Our goal is to assure that everyone may access our beaches for recreational pleasures including fishing without a lot of unfair restrictions. We believe this to be part of our heritage and we intend to defend it.

If you are someone that believes as we do, fisherman or not, we urge you to find out about the DMS and join us in a never ending struggle. Remember, there IS strength in numbers.

The DMS- WHO ARE WE?
 

The purpose of the DELAWARE MOBILE SURF-FISHERMEN, INC., hereinafter referred to as the DMS, shall be:

To join in a formal organization all persons interested in the natural beach resources of the State;to work as an instrument to secure acceptance of certain rules which will benefit the sport of mobile surf fishing and salt water fishing; to work with relentless effort for the proper conservation of the waters, beaches and marine sport fisheries of the State; to engage in studies and disseminate information relating to marine waters, beach travel and beach vehicle operations;to take such steps as may be deemed necessary to secure needed legislation or reform in the public interest to encourage and promote good sportsmanship and to uphold Conservation Laws; to aid members of the DMS and the public in general, in all efforts to effect any national or statewide council or group of councils or associations, if deemed to further the interests of the above-mentioned purposes, all being in conformity with the Certificate of Incorporation.
