Hello to all:

I think everyone will agree, we are ready to see winter go, and make way for spring fishing. As we prepare our minds and gear, lets not forget the projects that lay ahead for the 2009 calendar year. Most of the committees have been formed and many are already hard at work. Be sure to notice the list of chairs and co-chairs in this publication and help were you can.

As we prepare this edition of the newsletter the annual AMSA sports fishing expo is just around the corner. With the DMS annual dinner dance just behind, I hope to see many of you come out and attend. This is the only time of the year we get together as a group to socialize, share old memories, and meet new friends. Crystal Cahall and Sherrie Morton have worked hard for the past year to make this night a success.

Just a reminder your dues are for the 2009 year are required to be paid prior to march 31^st, to avoid a laps in your membership benefits please be sure to remit your payment now. Membership is more important now than ever with so many Special Interest groups wanting to see our privileges removed. A special thanks goes out to the Legislative Committee for their tireless effort dedicated to keep everyone informed. So remember when the time arises to educate someone about what we do, take the opportunity to do so.

Hopefully we will be back on our beloved beaches very soon.
